Helicopter-based water rescue by DRK Wasserwacht together with the Federal Police at the Malter dam. Floods and heavy rain events repeatedly haunt Saxony and other federal states. One lesson from the last major flood in 2013 was that cooperation between helicopter crews and volunteer water rescuers must be practiced regularly. Such an exercise at the Malter dam takes place together with the Federal Police, which provided the helicopter. The volunteer air rescuers from Wasserwacht, DLRG and the fire department come from Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt, Malter, Saxony, Germany
