Built between 1909 and 1912, the historic opera house, state theatre, Littmanbau, main venue of the Stuttgart State Opera in the castle garden is facing extensive renovation and modernization. Current plans assume that construction will start in 2028, with completion only expected at the beginning of the 2040s. During the work, an interim building will serve as a substitute venue, Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
