Painting based on the photo by J. Chaldej. At the Berlin Reichstag, May 2, 1945, three Soviet soldiers fly the flag of the Soviet Union. J. Chaldej took a total of 36 pictures, which he later also changed by adding clouds of smoke, retouching the watch and assembling further variants. The picture became an icon and symbol of the victory over National Socialism
