Scenographia Systematis Copernicani, scenography of the Copernican system, a celestial map illustrating the heliocentric world view, from the atlas Harmonia Macrocosmica seu Atlas universalis et novus published in 1660 by Andreas Cellarius, a German-Dutch cartographer and cosmographer. It shows the heliocentric model described by Nicolaus Copernicus in 1543 in his work De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres), in which the sun is at the centre of the universe and the earth and other planets orbit around it. The planets move in ornate orbits, surrounded by signs of the zodiac and divine figures, digitally restored reproduction from a 17th century model, authentic, exact date of depiction unknown
