The richly decorated chalice of St Remigius, Remigius of Reims (436 to 533) was a bishop of Gallo-Roman nobility in the east of what is now France. He became famous for baptising the Merovingian king Clovis I and is venerated as one of the great saints of the Frankish people, from the cathedral of Reims, France, Historical, digitally enhanced reproduction from an original from around 1860
