Blue-winged damselfly (Calopteryx virgo), sits in resting position on a delicate plant, inconspicuous beauty, during the day, in hard light, the males appear almost black from normal observation distance, on closer inspection green-blue metallic shimmering colouring of the body and the blue shimmering wings interspersed with fine veins, the last three abdomen segments are coloured red on the underside, native nature, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Western Europe
