Lead, South Dakota - A ring from a 100, 000 gallon tank used inside the former Homestake gold mine to study neutrinos. The work earned a Nobel Prize in physics for Dr. Ray Davis. The no longer operating mine is now the site of scientific experiments at the Sanford Underground Research Facility
