The Llanos de Cortez waterfall in Costa Rica's Guanacaste province is a surprisingly well-kept secret. It's actually a little slice of heaven on Earth. Tucked away in a cool, lush gorge surrounded by desert-like, sweltering tropical dry forest, the falls are an oasis. I was there on a very windy day and, rather than fighting the conditions, I decided to go with them, using a long exposure to let some foreground trees move in order to give the scene a dreamy feel
