Summer Tanagers are beautiful birds that migrate from the eastern US and Canada to the neotropics each winter. I encountered this beautiful male on the grounds of the Selva Verde Lodge in Costa Rica. I loved the setting and quickly fired off a couple of shots with a telephoto lens sets at its widest aperture for a dreamy, shallow depth of field to this bird portrait
