In 2003, the porcelain fountain was redesigned by the porcelain manufacturer Barbara Flügel. Its fresh blue and turquoise as well as the noble white and gold tones form a striking focal point in the old town. Over 45, 000 porcelain plates were used here. Selb is a large district town in the Wunsiedel district in the Fichtelgebirge mountains and lies directly on the Czech border. Selb is known nationwide as a porcelain town and lies on the Bavarian Porcelain Route
