The Himmelfahrt Fundgrube is a former ore mine in Freiberg. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Ore Mountains since 2019. The Himmelfahrt Fundgrube is the last permanently open mine in the Freiberg mining area. However, no ore has been mined since 1968. The TU Bergakademie Freiberg uses the Himmelfahrt Fundgrube with its Reiche Zeche and Alte Elisabeth shafts as a teaching and research mine and is the mine's operator.
