Monument to Duchess Anna Amalia The Seifersdorf Valley stretches along the Große Röder from Liegau-Augustusbad (a district of Radeberg) at the Grundmühle mill to Grünberg (a district of Ottendorf-Okrilla) . It lies in the area of the municipality of Wachau and the city of Dresden and is named after the nearby village of Seifersdorf. It is best known for its landscape garden, which was laid out from 1781 by Countess Christina von Brühl (daughter-in-law of Heinrich Graf von Brühl and owner of Seifersdorf Castle) . The Seifersdorf Valley is one of the earliest landscape gardens in Germany. The valley was severely damaged by a tornado on Whit Monday 2010, numerous trees fell victim to the storm and the valley was temporarily cut off from the outside world, Seifersdorf, Saxony, Germany, Europe
