Born is a small village on the south coast of the Darss and lies between the Saaler Bodden and the Bodstedter Bodden on the Koppelstrom. The Borner Holm is a headland on the Saaler Bodden whose landscape protection status is to be revoked for the construction of holiday properties. This will destroy a unique open landscape area
