The Little Witch, a children's book by Otfried Preußler about the courage to do good, even when it is difficult. The story tells the adventures of a young witch who, at 127 years old, is still considered too young to be a fully-fledged witch. She tries to do good in order to gain the approval of the chief witches. In doing so, she repeatedly comes into conflict with the old rules and norms of the witch world.
