Berlin in the 1930s. An aerial view of Brandenburger gate on december 15 1933. An 18th- century neoclassical monument and one of the best-known landmarks of Germany located in the centre of Berlin. After World War II the Brandenburger gate was located in the soviet occupation zone and the Berlin wall was constructed directly next to it. The gaten is now considered a symbol of European unity and peace. The gate is the monumental entry to the boulevard Under den Linden
