Driving in the 1960s. Car helmets was introduced in Sweden to encrease personal safety when driving cars. The manufacturers of the helmets hoped the sales of them would be boosted by the upcoming change from driving on the left side on the road, to the right. Oddly enough fewer accidents happened then prior the change. Pictured are a young couple wearing their helmets that were made differently for men and women. Sweden 1966 ref CV38-2
