The Elbe bridge in Bad Schandau (B 172) is closed to all traffic with immediate effect. This measure follows a recent special inspection and the resulting inspection report. The bridge must be closed immediately due to longitudinal cracks in the lower span and the associated risk to its load-bearing capacity. The bridge will remain fully closed to all traffic until further notice, but at least until the end of 2024.
