Photograph of a sick child being taken from the Exodus. The ship carried Jewish emigrants from France to British Mandatory Palestine. Most of the emigrants were Holocaust survivors who had no legal immigration certificates for Palestine. The British Royal Navy seized the ship and deported all it's passengers back to Europe. Dated 1947
