Marie-Jeanne Schellink. Belgian woman, fought as a soldier in the Belgian Batallion of the French Army, then served in the Napoleonic army. Was nominated officer in 1806. On June 20 1808, Napoleon decorated her with cross of Legion of Honour and granted her a military pension. From 'Le Petit Journal', Paris, 10 September 1894.
