- 15-16 October 1793: Lazare Carnot repels the Austrian and English troops at Wattignies. First victory for the revolutionary armies.
- December 1793: Following a series of victories against the Austrians, General Hoche liberates Alsace. Here the Battle of Wissembourg.
- 1795: under the auspices of General Hoche, agreements were signed with the Vendée chiefs, putting an end to the First Vendée War.
- Peace of 16 Germinal An III (5 April 1795): the envoys of fourteen armies present to the Government of the Republic the flags taken from the enemy.
