Scenes from the camel race on September 27, 2003, held during Niger's Salt Cure festival in InGall in Niger. Niger's nomadic groups -- Tuaregs, Fulani and Arabs -- are re-united during the annual Salt Cure festival held in InGall each year at the end of the rainy season when nomads drive their long-horned cattle, donkeys and camels to the salty pastures near InGall. Friends and family catchup on the news of the past year, trade and buy goods before their journey back to more fertile regions. The festival is also a time for arranging weddings, strengthening social bonds and celebrating reunions. (Photo/Christine Nesbitt)
