Sewing pattern of the Master's apron
Around 1830
Taken from a collection of annotated watercolour patterns by an embroiderer (30 cm x 34 cm)
This richly balanced composition is evidence of the iconography used for the 3rd degree, which includes a star bearing the letter G, a symbol still used today. The Sun and the Moon were typically placed pointing to the North and South.
