Exterior of the New Greek Church London Wall, 1850. 'In its exterior, the Greek Church is extremely plain except on its north or entrance front, which is divided into two stories by a bold, and enriched moulding, the lower story having an arcade of three arches opening into a corridor, whence admittance into the Church is obtained, and the upper story a similar arcade containing three windows deeply recessed...The capitals of the columns and the enrichments are in good style, and exceedingly well done...A bold cornice, supported by consoles, runs round the upper part of the Church, and there are pediments at the respective fronts of the building - that to the north being crowned with a cross...the architect of the Church is T. E. Owen, Esq., of Portsmouth; and the builders, Mr. Jay, of City-road Basin'. From "Illustrated London News", 1850.
