Philips point of sale stand for light bulbs, 1962. In a photograph taken for Philips Electrical, a point of sale stand for light bulbs can be seen with the range of domestic light bulbs from 1962. They were available in the familiar 60 and 100 watts together with a rather bright 150 watts. The stand promotes the choice of lamps for different household uses that was available some forty years before the introduction of the fluorescent (green) light bulb.
