Princess Charlotte commemorative bracelet slide, c1817. Inscribed round the border 'HRH Princess Charlotte Augusta'. She was the only child of King George IV, and heir to the throne, but she died in childbirth at the age of 21 in 1817. It was because of her death that the then unconceived Victoria, became queen in 1837.
